Paediatric tuberculosis
We run a weekly dedicated paediatric TB clinic. Each year approximately 300 children are screened for TB.
Multidisciplinary care is delivered with an emphasis on the whole family unit. We receive many referrals for complex/atypical cases throughout the region, including multi-drug resistant TB. The service is one of only a handful in the country with negative pressure facilities on the wards for nursing patients with highly infectious respiratory conditions.
