Paediatric ENT
St Mary’s serves as a secondary and tertiary centre for paediatric ENT and head and neck surgery. The department manages complex laryngo-tracheal, head and neck and chronic ear conditions as well as the more common paediatric ENT problems including sleep disturbance.
We work closely with our PICU and NICU colleagues to assist in airway management, which includes tracheotomy where necessary. A paediatric cochlear implant group will soon be established to treat severe sensorineural hearing loss. A consultant audiological physician and a full range of paediatric audiological services assist the department.
