Infertility services

The multidisciplinary fertility team comprises of specialists in reproductive medicine, surgery and endocrinology, a clinical nurse specialist and a fertility counsellor.

The fertility service includes:

  • Assessment of female and male fertility including imaging
  • Specialist imaging
  • Treatment of ovulatory disorders, in women with PCOS and hypothalamic/pituitary dysfunction
  • Ovulation induction treatments include clomifene, hMG, the GnRH pump and laparoscopic ovarian diathermy
  • Fertility surgery, both open and minimal access; tubal surgery; resection of uterine septae; transcervical resection of fibroids and myomectomy
  • HFEA licensed centre for super-ovulation and intrauterine insemination
  • Assessment for IVF, including ICSI, and assessment for egg and sperm donation, although these services are not provided on site
  • Fertility counselling

There are close links with Professor Regan’s fibroid clinic, Professor Higham’s hysteroscopy service, the recurrent miscarriage clinic and the endometriosis service
