Colorectal surgery

St Mary’s Hospital is a centre of excellence for laparoscopic colorectal surgery and is a recognised colorectal cancer unit. St Mary’s offers a range of routine and highly specialised surgical procedures, including:

• Colorectal clinics for suspected cancer patients and benign diseases
• Specialist inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor clinic
• Lower GI motility disease clinic (Professor Silk only)
• Anal manometry and endoanal ultrasound for diagnosis of sphincter abnormality

Location
Services are provided in the outpatients department at St Mary’s and St Charles
hospitals. Surgical wards are in the QEQM building.

Daycare and the short stay surgical unit are on the 4th floor of the Mary Stanford wing.
