Chest medicine

The respiratory medicine department provides the following specialist services:

• Asthma
• Breathlessness clinic
• Bronchiectasis - advanced diagnostics
• Chest fast-track lung cancer service for urgent cancer referrals and  advice about lung cancer patients, including joint oncology clinic
• COPD one-stop diagnostic clinic
• COPD severe disease clinic
• General chest medicine
• Interstitial lung disease (ILD)
• Physiotherapy – airways clearance techniques
• Sleep medicine
• Tuberculosis service

• Bronchoscopy
• Fitness to fly assessment
• Full lung function
• Home and ambulatory oxygen assessments
• GP open access spirometry
• Nebuliser trials
• Pulmonary rehabilitation
