Your visitors

Your visitors are very welcome at the hospital during visiting hours. Visiting hours vary from ward to ward, so please check the times with a member of staff or go to our Visiting times section. We try to be as flexible as possible, but your medical care and that of other patients must take priority.

Peace and quiet
Rest is often an essential part of your and other patients’ recovery, so we ask that no more than two people visit you at any one time. We ask visitors to remain quiet on the wards to avoid disturbing other patients.

Children
Children are welcome provided they are quiet and do not disturb other patients. They should be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.

Infectious illnesses
Please ask your relatives and friends not to visit if they are suffering or recovering from any infectious illnesses such as diarrhoea, vomiting, coughs, colds or flu. See our Infection prevention and control section for more information.
