Charing Cross Cancer Association
An informal and welcoming support group open to any current or previous cancer patient and their relatives. The group meet once a month at Charing Cross Hospital and usually have a speaker, either from the hospital’s cancer services or an external speaker, to talk about a subject of interest.

Chronic myeloid leukaemia support group
A support group for people with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), set up by two patients from Hammersmith Hospital who took part in early trials for the drug imatinib (Glivec). The group is supported by a number of charities, including the manufacturer of imatinib, Novartis.
There is an annual patient seminar, held in different parts of the country, as well as information such as patient stories and discussion groups on the website.

The Macmillan Information and Support Centre
The Macmillan Cancer information specialist aims to give patients, families, friends, carers and health professionals access to specialist support, an opportunity to talk, accurate, comprehensive and appropriate information as well as sign-posting to other services and help with practical matters. The service is confidential and is provided on a drop in basis with some visiting of inpatients on the oncology units and outpatients departments when requested. The Centre is integral to oncology services and acts as a hub for the dispensing of Patient Information Prescriptions

Myeloma UK
Patients and nurses from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust have links with Myeloma UK. The charity informs and supports people affected by myeloma, and helps improve treatment and standards of care through research and education.

St Mary's Breast Cancer Support Group
A friendly and informal group who offer support for people who have or know someone who has breast cancer. The group meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 18.30 to 20.00 at St Mary's Hospital. A breast care nurse attends each meeting. Guest speakers also attend most meetings, covering a range of fun and appropriate topics. The group welcomes new members.

Support group for laryngectomy patients
A support group for patients who have had a laryngectomy (removal of the larynx) due to cancer in the West London area, though some patients can come from outside this area. It is largely run by patients although initial contact with the group is via the speech and language therapists at Charing Cross Hospital. The group meets about four times a year, either at Charing Cross Hospital or a local pub. One of the therapists also usually attends.

Pseudomyxoma Survivor
A support network for survivors and carers of Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP).
The support network offers emotional encouragement and a community where fellow patients and are givers can collaborate online. The community now have an online support network of over 400 people easily contacted through this site and through the online Facebook group.
