How long will I wait?

It can be difficult to predict how long you will wait at one of our A&E departments. We have to give priority to the most urgent cases and the situation in the department may change suddenly if a severely injured or seriously ill patient is brought in.

If the waiting time is long, our staff will keep you informed and may offer you advice on alternative services you can use.
