Safeguarding and child protection

Our safeguarding team is here to support the local community in all matters regarding child protection. This includes unborn babies and young people up to the age of 18 years. Where abuse is suspected, specialist facilities for the examination of children and young people are provided. At St Mary’s Hospital, this includes the Orange Clinic (child protection examination suite) and The Haven sexual assault referral centre.
