Trust paediatric consultant Dr Bob Klaber describes a paired learning initiative at our Trust in which junior doctors are paired with managers to learn from each others’ experiences, encouraging clinical excellence. The study found that 75 per cent of participants were able to identify an opportunity for improving a service.

Sky covered the story of Abdul Malek, 15, the first Libyan brought to the UK to be treated after being injured in the conflict in his country. Adbul was cared for at St Mary’s Hospital by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians from our Trust.

Trust consultant paediatrician Professor John Warner is quoted in this story which reports that the numbers of children admitted to hospital with breathing problems is on the increase in west London.
