Who are Supervisors of Midwives?
Supervisors of Midwives are experienced midwives who, in addition to their contracted role, have undertaken specific education to support and supervise midwives. At Imperial, our Supervisors of Midwives aim to be approachable and supportive; our primary focus is the safety of our mothers, babies and midwives. We believe that childbirth is both a normal and life affirming event for women, and we support the role of the midwife in facilitating this.
