Learning for Work at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust manages the skills centre at Charing Cross Hospital, where many of our training and development activities take place. The skills centre is also available for hire to internal and external users and can be used for learning and development activities, including IT and clinical training, as well as presentations and meetings.
Location

Facilities
The skills centre has five main rooms that are available for hire for periods of a full day, half a day or an evening. Below are brief details of the facilities available and the hire cost. Learning room 1 (LR1)
• Capacity: 12
• Cost: £200 a day
• Equipment: table, chairs, flipchart, pens, dataport connection for laptop, projector
Learning room 2 (LR2)
• Capacity: 20
• Cost: £250 a day
• Equipment: four beds, flip-chart, pens, PC, projector, TV, video, DVD player
IT suite
• Capacity: 13
• Cost: £250 a day
• Equipment: 13 PCs, flip-chart, pens, projector
IT suite 2
• Capacity: 6
• Cost: £200 a day
• Equipment: 6 PCs, white-board, pens
There is a coffee room in the skills centre that is available for all skills centre users to use. There are also notice-boards giving information about skills centre services.
Catering
Skills centre users can arrange catering with the hospital's catering contractors. There is a kitchen and rest area available for refreshment breaks.
