Rheumatology
There is a general rheumatology service at Hammersmith Hospital. The unit has specialist interests in systemic inflammatory diseases that relate to internationally competitive research programmes in disease pathogenesis, genetics, diagnostic biomarkers and imaging.
The service offers specialist clinics in SLE, complement disorders, large vessel vasculitis, Behçet’s Syndrome and scleroderma.
We have a specialist clinic nurse who undertakes drug monitoring in close cooperation with primary care.
Clinics are held on Monday mornings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. There is a one-stop injection clinic for soft-tissue problems on Thursday afternoons. We also see patients on an urgent basis if required.
