The hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery department at Hammersmith Hospital offers a complete range of services for patients with diseases of the liver, pancreas, biliary tract and endocrine surgery.
As a designated pancreatic cancer centre it provides a full range of care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the pancreas.
Three multidisciplinary weekly sessions ensure that patients receive rapid review and referral to the most appropriate service, including surgery, oncology (active and palliative care), gastroenterology, histopathology and interventional radiology.
The unit has a strong academic bias and the research component ensures that the unit can provide the most modern and appropriate treatments.
