Routine referrals can also be discussed by phone but must be followed by a formal referral by fax. A registrar can be contacted via the switchboard on 020 3313 1000 or you can contact the appropriate secretary/coordinator.

Urgent referrals can be discussed on the telephone with an endocrine surgery
registrar or consultant on the numbers given but this must be followed by a formal referral. Patients can be seen in clinic urgently or admitted directly if appropriate.

Referrals to St Mary’s Hospital

Most referrals for endocrine surgery go through the endocrinology service. GPs can refer directly to the thyroid clinic via Choose and Book or by post.
