Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has a range of accident and emergency (A&E) services. Charing Cross Hospital is a major trauma centre for west London, in part due to the provision of neurology and neurosurgery services on site. Hammersmith Hospital has an emergency services department with particular expertise in the treatment of heart attacks, in part due to the cardiac catheterisation laboratories on site.

St Mary's Hospital provides A&E services for both adults and children, with a dedicated paediatric A&E department. Western Eye Hospital is the only eye hospital in west London to offer A&E services for ophthalmology open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
