Annual report
Every year, in line with government recommendations, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will publish an annual report. This covers all aspects of what we do, progress that we have made with delivering our services and includes our financial accounts for any given tax year (April to March).

Annual business plan
The Trust's current business plan sets out our strategy for the next two years (2008/09 to 2010/11), including our next steps in developing the Trust as the UK's first academic health science centre (AHSC). The plan also includes information about our performance since the creation of the new Trust, October 2007 to March 2008, and analyses of the risks we face as we move forward.

Targets, aims and objectives
In June 2008 Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London published a document that describes the vision and mission of the academic health science centre (AHSC) and sets out its ambitions and objectives for the next ten years.

Performance against targets

Clinical governance
The Trust's governance committee brings together and monitors all aspects of organisational risk. It is chaired by a non-executive and has lay representation. The committee reviews information related to clinical risk, claims and complaints. More information is available on request.

Audit reports
Information about our financial performance (Auditor's Local Evaluation) can be found under our performance. Further information on audit reports can be found in our annual reports - in the 2007/2008 annual report, please refer to page 38.
Service user surveys
For more information about our internal surveys and how we ensure our patients' experience at our hospitals is as positive as possible is a major priority at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. We have recently launched a series of initiatives to help us improve the way our patients are treated, starting from the moment they walk through the door.
The Healthcare Commission carries out national surveys of patients to find out about their experience when receiving care and treatment from healthcare organisations. It publishes the results of its surveys on its website:
