Medical students from Imperial College London study at three of the five Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust’s hospitals in their third, fifth and sixth year of undergraduate medical training towards the achievement of MBBS/BSc Medicine. The hospitals include: Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital and St Mary's Hospital.

In each of these three years, medical students are guaranteed at least one clinical attachment at one of those hospitals, which typically benefit from larger patient flows and a richer experience for the student.

Upon starting a clinical attachment at an NHS Trust or NHS Foundation Trust, medical students receive a thorough induction and a printed handbook outlining policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as information and support on facilities such as on-call rooms, lockers, library, office, skills laboratories, and common rooms.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust takes its role in educating tomorrow’s doctors very seriously and works closely with Imperial College London to ensure that medical students receive the highest quality practical and theoretical training. As such, the Trust ensures that all students placed on clinical attachments are able to complete learning evaluations and provide feedback on their learning experiences.
