Prosthetics (limb fitting)
Clinics are held at Charing Cross Hospital to provide care for people with a congenital limb deficiency or who have had amputation of a lower limb (or limbs) with exclusion of the surgical episode.
The service offers assessment and review, prescription, provision and maintenance of prosthetic limbs, gait re-education and prescription of silicon cosmesis.
Services carried out on-site include prescribing and fitting of new artificial limbs and repairing/servicing of limbs. The limbs range from those for daily living to high-active limbs suitable for sports.
Clinics operate Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 12.00.

Prosthetics (head and neck/maxillofacial prosthetics and technology)
The prosthetic service is one of the few in the UK to offer a broad range of realistic splinting systems and prostheses for multicultural patients. The Trust offers a prosthesis service for head and neck oncology, facial trauma and congenital deformity patients.
The department provides scientific and advisory services to patients for their rehabilitation by constructing and using implants, prosthesis and splinting mechanisms (artificial replacements).

Clinics are held Monday to Friday, 09.30 to 16.30.
The service is registered with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.
Location
Head and neck prosthetics laboratory is based on the 1st floor, south wing. Patients should report to eye and oral reception.
