The cardiology department at Charing Cross Hospital provides the full range of secondary care services.
The unique and nationally recognised rapid access cardiology clinics see patients with suspected first presentation of chest pain, heart failure or arrhythmia and run each weekday morning.
General cardiology outpatient clinics are held three days a week with subspecialty clinics for heart failure and complex arrhythmias.
All clinics are supported by a cardiac physiological measurement service, providing a linked
one-stop service.
A comprehensive cardiac prevention, rehabilitation service and heart failure nursing team support the ambulatory service.
Cardiac rehabilitation services
If you are recovering from a heart attack or have been diagnosed with a heart problem, your healthcare team might suggest you join a cardiac rehabilitation programme. This a medically supervised programme of exercise, emotional support, diet and exercise that can help improve your healthy and quality of life, and reduce anxiety and depression.
If you’d like to find out more about cardiac rehabilitation please contact your local GP or cardiac nurse.
