Responsibility for eliminating mixed-sex accommodation at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust lies with our clinical programme committee, a sub-committee of the Trust board. Financial penalties have been introduced internally for non-compliance with audit returns. The Trust also has mixed-sex accommodation as part of our board performance scorecard.

Weekly scorecards for patient experience have been developed for each clinical programme group. The lead director is Janice Sigsworth, director of nursing. A weekly breach meeting is chaired by Janice Sigsworth.

Eliminating mixed-sex accommodation is part of our primary care trust (PCT) contract, and is monitored in the performance reporting to the Imperial clinical commissioning group and as part of the performance regime.

We include process updates in the weekly executive team report as well as returns to NHS London.
