Staff awards

If you have had a particularly good experience at one of our hospitals we would like to hear about it.

One of the ways you can help reward the hard work and dedication of our staff is to nominate them for one of our Outstanding Service Care and Research awards - OSC&Rs for short - which are given out every three months.

Patients and visitors, along with fellow staff members, are welcome to nominate either an individual member of staff or a team for an award.

We are looking to reward people or teams whose efforts reflect our five core values:
• Respect
• Innovation
• Care
• Achievement
• Pride
For guidance on which of these use in your nomination, read more about our values.

For example, you may have received particularly sensitive care at a difficult time, seen great teamworking in action or felt that a particular team member was inspirational to others. Or you may have felt that staff were very motivated to explore all treatment options or believe that your own views and opinions were highly valued.

If you know an individual member of staff or a team who you think deserves an award, feel free to nominate them for an OSC&R. The awards are funded by the Imperial College Healthcare Charity.

How to nominate
There are two ways to recommend individuals or teams for an OSC&R:
• Complete our online nomination form
• Collect a freepost nomination form from reception at any of our hospitals

Who you can nominate
You are welcome to nominate individuals or teams who fall into one of the following categories:
• Employees of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
• Volunteers at one of the Trust sites
• Employees of Trust contractors

Award categories and prizes
OSC&Rs are announced every three months and the winners receive cash or vouchers as follows:

Individual awards
Winner: £200
Runner-up: £100

Team awards
Winner: £300
Runner-up: £150
